    If you would like to send your ideas concerning these important questions, or some other aspect that you believe relevant, you have an opportunity to respond at the bottom of this page.  

Issue #1 (Corporate Wealth vs Social Responsibility)

    Do you think that the Administration and its supporters are focused on solutions to national problems based primarily upon ideology and corporate wealth?  Do you think Democrats are focused on issues based primarily upon community values and social responsibility?  If the answers are yes, then it follows that Democrats are inherently better at solving national problems than the Administration.  Reason: we are not constrained by ideology and corporate profit.  

    We need to make that fundamental advantage demonstrable without question.  We ask you to contribute factual, verifiable information regarding this contention.   How is this done?  Take energy for example.  What is really needed in the United States versus what is being delivered?  Dig into facts about how Oil companies in concert with our government have controlled (or prevented) development of alternative solutions.  Examine whether candidates have advocated new solutions. 

    We believe similar situations exist with Defense, Education, Environment, Homeland Security, Healthcare, Privacy, Taxes, and Transportation.  Our  objective now is to make this situation abundantly clear.  Then we are in a position to contrast the positions of the Democratic nominee with those of the Republicans.    

Issue #2 (Cutting Taxes and Public Programs)

    Do you think the Administration and its supporters have not only cut taxes primarily for the benefit of the wealthy, but have willfully used the resulting lack of funds as their reason for cutting essential domestic programs?  If so, we need to document what programs have been reduced, by how much, and what have been the consequences.  A great example is in New Orleans where the budget of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was drastically reduced and work on the levees stopped in 2004.  The consequences are incredible!  

    We need to explain clearly and forcefully to the American public the connection between tax cuts and reduced public programs?  

Issue #3 (War in Iraq)

    Do you think that the Administration and its supporters have unnecessarily engaged us in the war in Iraq?  Do you think we could easily have contained Saddam with the No Fly Zones and other measures?  Do you think our hasty invasion was related to controlling oil?     

Issue #4 (Faith-Based Thinking vs Reason)  

    Do you think that the Administration and its supporters have intentionally introduced religion into public policy?  Is part of their strategy to pit those people steeped in faith-based thinking against those relying on reason?  How can we reduce the effects of this polarizing issue?
